BLM protester drinks woman’s beer as diners harassed

A woman wearing a “Nazi Lives Don’t Matter” T-shirt has been filmed walking up and drinking an elderly woman’s beer from her table as protesters harassed outdoor diners on the weekend.
The unhygienic incident appears to have occurred outside the Mercato Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 5, during a Black Lives Matter protest march to the county courthouse dubbed “Civil Saturday”.
Several videos of marchers harassing diners as they made their way along Penn Ave have been uploaded to social media, including one of a male cyclist being assaulted as he tries to make his way past the small group.
In one video, a man with a megaphone hurls insults at diners, calling them an “embarrassment”, while another man approaches the tables and verbally abuses the elderly couple, telling them “f**k the white people that built the system”.

An overweight woman then walks to the table where the man is still seated, picks up the beer from where the woman had been sitting and downs it.
Protesters appear to smash several glasses from the tables as they march off chanting “f**k the police”.
Another clip from the same video shows the man with the megaphone striking a male cyclist in the head with it as he moves past.
The cyclist hits the megaphone away and another protester runs up behind him and bashes him over the head with a skateboard.

News reports of the protests failed to mention the violence or harassment.
“Starting around 4pm on Saturday afternoon, protesters gathered at Liberty Ave and Stanwix Street outside of the Port Authority T station and made their way to the county courthouse,” read an online story published by the local CBS affiliate.
“Along the way, they stopped at (the) intersection of Penn Ave and Ninth Street where protesters discussed the black experience in both America and in Pittsburgh. Once outside the county courthouse, the protesters called for the end of racism in policing.”
The story said no incidents were reported from the protest.

Rioters in Rochester, New York were also filmed harassing diners and trashing restaurants on the weekend, during the third night of protests over the death of Daniel Prude in March.
Prude, 29, died after being placed in a spit hood when he was found running naked through the streets high on PCP.
Body-cam video of the incident was released last week, fuelling continued protests over alleged police brutality against African American men.
In one of the videos posted to social media of the Rochester protests, a woman is seen attempting to flee as a female protester tells her, “No need to run. Nobody is hurting you. Nobody’s going to touch you … we’re shutting the party down.”

The demonstration was eventually declared an unlawful assembly, with police firing pepper balls and tear gas to break up the crowd.
It follows similar scenes in Washington D.C., last month, where diners were verbally abused and ordered to raise their fists to show support for Black Lives Matter.
Meanwhile, a study by Princeton has found 93 per cent of Black Lives Matter protests since May 26 were “peaceful” – meaning there were only around 570 violent riots across 220 locations.
